Well, you would get in the car with the Uber driver and the Uber driver would be negligent some way, he’d run a light or he would turn when he shouldn’t and cause an injury which then resulted in an injury to the passenger and your claim would be against the Uber driver and his insurance policy. My understanding is that Uber drivers and Lyft drivers each have their own individual insurance, but it has to be to a certain level before they can drive for Uber or Lyft, if you’re injured in any kind of accident, the first thing you should do is contact an attorney and have the attorney investigate the case for you. Part of the job of a personal injury attorney is to go out and find the avenues of recovery who can we go to to obtain a recovery for this client, to obtain compensation for that who are injured. The insurance companies who are who are there who can we go to to recover for them and that’s the part of the initial investigation that an attorney does when he first takes a case.
