One of the most dangerous places on Earth is visited on a daily basis by most Austin residents: roads and highways. Accidents in these areas have claimed more lives and caused more injury than most other places on Earth. From fatal car accidents to deadly drunk driving crashes, the roads are not as safe as people think. For example, recently a pedestrian was hit by a car near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport that resulted in injury.

The male pedestrian was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle near Highway 183. He was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle that hit the man failed to stop at the scene of the accident. Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
