Austin police are encouraging all drivers to slow down and settle down in attempts to reduce the number of aggressive drivers in the area. After a recent traffic fatality, Austin police are teaming up several surrounding police forces to conduct a sting on aggressive driving in the hopes to reduce the number of traffic fatalities.
The city just recorded its 21st death of 2013 from a motor vehicle accident after a driver lost control and collided with two motorcycles. The accident occurred at the 9400 block of FM 2222 when a driver lost control of his car, which caused his vehicle to spin. Upon spinning, two motorcyclists, one carrying a passenger, collided with the car. As a result, a 31-year-old man, one of the motorcyclists, is dead and three others suffered injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
