According to KXAN, Austin police are looking for the driver who struck and killed a man walking on North Lamar Boulevard near Payton Gin Road on March 24 just after 9 p.m. Witnesses to the accident said the driver was in a red Ford pick-up truck.
The victim, in his 60s, was attempting to cross from east to west, and was hit by a truck traveling south. Authorities are still trying to determine if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when the accident occurred. The man was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge, where he died a short time later.
