No Fee Unless You Win
May is motorcycle safety and awareness month in Texas and across the United States. For those who ride, an Austin motorcycle accident can have serious long term consequences. The Texas Department of Safety reports that eighty-seven percent of motorcycle crashes seriously injure or kill the motorcyclist.
A case in point was a recent accident that involved an Austin police officer on his way to work on his personal motorcycle. The officer was driving near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport when a SUV driver turned in front of him. The motorcycle crashed head-on into the SUV.
The officer was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, but according to KVUE was expected to be okay. The officer was wearing a helmet.
In many of these accidents, the car or truck driver never saw the motorcycle. Motorists need to watch for motorcycles.
