No Fee Unless You Win
This year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) did some research to compile some recommendations for the safest affordable vehicles for younger drivers. Inexperienced drivers aged 16 to 24 have more fatal car accidents per capita than any other age group, according to US Census Bureau statistics. IIHS is hoping that its recommendations help in decreasing terrible auto accidents in this age bracket caused by drunk drivers, distracted drivers and other forms of negligent driving.
The following vehicles make IIHS’s list of safest used cars, because they are protective, affordable, do not have too much horsepower, have electronic stability control (ESC) and have very high safety ratings by both the IIHS and by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The best cars were broken up into categories. The following cars are the seven most affordable cars on the IIHS recommendation list for parents wishing to protect their children from serious auto accidents:
All of these cars are the more affordable options; however, the entire list can be found on www.iihs.org.
Naturally, these vehicles do not prevent car accidents. Therefore, it is always best to have an auto injury attorney’s number at the ready if you or someone you know suffers a serious injury in a car crash.
If your child has been injured in a car wreck, then call our car crash lawyers today. We have helped injured drivers of all ages in their efforts to secure compensation so that they can recover from injuries that were not their fault.
[Did You Know? Teenage drivers crash 3 times more per mile driven than drivers who are 20 years or older.]
