The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has penalized a New Braunfels manufacturing company following allegations that the company has exposed its employees to unguarded machinery and electrical hazards. According to OSHA, BMC Building Materials and Construction Services Inc., which builds prefabricated wood trusses for the construction industry, was cited with seven serious safety violations following a safety inspection in October, 2012. The company may have to pay fines totaling as much as $41,000.
