No Fee Unless You Win
Many Austin and Travis residents go to Ross Stores because they are hunting for bargains when they shop for apparel. While the company tries to maintain itself as one of the national off-price retailers, Ross Stores Texas and two other defendants are in the middle of a premises liability lawsuit.
A woman recently filed a lawsuit against the company after a slip-and-fall accident occurred in the Beaumont store last year. The woman was shopping at the store when she allegedly slipped violently on the floor. The lawsuit alleges that she later discovered that the floor was wet because of a leak from the ceiling. Additionally, the lawsuit accuses the operator of the store of not maintaining and repairing the store and of failure to warn customers about the dangerous condition. The woman is seeking compensation for medical expenses, trauma, lost wages and other forms of relief. According to court records, Ross has denied the allegations.
