No Fee Unless You Win
According to police, three people died after a one-passenger vehicle and a truck hauling a trailer collided on U.S. 290 near Dripping Springs.
Police told Austin’s KVUE News that a Honda Accord was turning left at a yellow light and struck a truck and trailer headed east.
“All the doors were open, and the people in the backseat of the truck were just completely lifeless and one of the guys was hanging out,” one witness told KVUE.
The driver of the truck was seriously injured, and three men in the backseat were killed instantly. The young man driving the Accord walked away from the accident.
Police are currently investigating the accident. No charges have been filed.
According to locals, the high speed limit of 65 mph makes stopping at traffic signals along U.S. 290 very dangerous. Austin’s city officials need to address this hazardous roadway immediately before more drivers are seriously injured or even killed.
