Mother of dog bite victim files lawsuit against pet owner

In Texas City recently, a woman filed a lawsuit against a pair of pet owners following two alleged dog attacks against her son. This past February, the child was attacked by the dog while playing on a public sidewalk outside his home. In June, the child was walking across the street from where the owners, a married couple, live when the same dog attacked him. Both incidents were reported to the local police department.

According to the suit filed in Galveston County District Court, the victim suffered severe bites and trauma. The victim’s mother claims financial injury due to incurred medical expenses and is seeking damages from the dog’s owners. The plaintiff claims that the defendants knew that their dog was dangerous but did not address the issue.
